NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran agent Christine Barkley has launched her own full-service talent company, Creative Booking Agency.
Based in New York, CBA reps a roster of artists that includes Benise, One Night of Queen, Chi of Shaolin, Luminasia, Ice Kingdom and numerous theatrical acts.
Most Recently Ms. Barkley was Vice President and Head of the New York City office of Agency for the Performing Arts (APA), where for the past 7 years she led a successful turnaround of APA’s core business (classic rock, pop, and jazz) into the Performing Arts Market. Ms. Barkley was responsible for building the Special Attractions and Theatrical Division, which focused on identifying and developing new products that aimed at the Performing Arts Center market. While at APA, she booked and managed a roster of 20 artists and special attractions, 18 of which made the jump with her to CBA.
Prior to joining APA, Ms. Barkley spent 7 years as a Vice President at Columbia Artists Management, Inc. (CAMI), booking orchestras, instrumentalists, opera singers, world music, theatre and dance including: Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Pops, ABT, Momix, Cirque Eloize, Leahy, Kennedy, Marvin Hamlisch, Renee Fleming and Anne Sophie Mutter to name of few. Ms. Barkley’s initial foray in the entertainment business started at DFP Entertainment where she booked, produced and packaged with artists such as Ringo Starr, Roger Daltrey, Peter Frampton, and The Monkees.
