The Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY and Clear Channel Entertainment have entered an exclusive two-year agreement, effective January 1, to help bring a steadier stream of events to the upstate venue.
Under the agreement, Clear Channel has guaranteed about 20 concerts per year.
"Clear Channel is the biggest promoter in the world," said Michael Pascazi, president of the Civic Center's board of directors. "We'd be remiss if we didn't try them. "They guarantee bigger shows, which means bigger money."
