Comcast-Spectacor's RichmanTo Be Inducted Into PPRA

Ike Richman, vice president of Public Relations, Comcast-Spectacor will be inducted into the Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA) Hall of Fame on May 17.

Richman, who got his professional start as a producer and engineer for 610 WIP radio, will be joined at the induction luncheon by an impressive lineup of stars and guest speakers, including: Sonny Hill, Comcast-Spectacor's executive advisor; Michael Klein, a features columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer; PPRA Hall of Famer Larry Rubin, owner, Rubin Public Relations; and Peter Luukko, president of Comcast-Spectacor Ventures and chairman, Global Spectrum. Howard Eskin, WIP SportsRadio Talk Host and NBC 10 Sports Anchor, will emcee the event.

As vice president of Public Relations for Comcast-Spectacor, Richman is responsible for public relations and media relations for four separate companies and almost 50 facilities in the U.S. and Canada. The scope of his public relations expertise attests to the versatility of his communications skills. He has been with Comcast-Spectacor for 16 years and, in addition to overseeing public and media relations at the Wachovia Complex, provides public relations for other Comcast-Spectacor companies, including: Global Spectrum, a public assembly facility management firm; Ovations Food Services, a food service and concession firm; New Era Tickets, a ticketing system; Flyers Skate Zone, made up of four community skating rinks; and three minor league baseball teams – Bowie Baysox, Delmarva Shorebirds and Frederick Keys.

Richman, a 1988 graduate of the University of Maryland, was a producer and engineer at WIP Sportsradio prior to becoming Public Relations assistant at the Spectrum. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
