DES MOINES, IA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — President Steve Peters has announced that Compass Facility Management has entered into an agreement to manage the 1,250-seat Hoyt Sherman Place Theater in Des Moines, Iowa.
Compass has assumed all management responsibilities, including booking, operations, marketing and sales, finances, human resources and sales of contractually obligated incomes.
“We are very pleased to have Compass on board to guide the operations of Hoyt Sherman Place,” said Sam O’Brien, president of the Foundation Board of Directors, in a statement. “We believe they have all the skills and expertise to work with us on achieving the long-term goals for this very special historic facility.”
The move also switches Hoyt Sherman Place to a Ticketmaster venue, ending the venue’s deal with ticketing firm IowaTix, according to the Des Moines Register. The facility was IowaTix’s first client, and also housed the company’s main offices. The company’s headquarters will now be located at the Des Moines Playhouse. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
