LOS ANGELES (Hypebot) — Live concert tracking app Bandsintown,says it now has 50,000+ artists using the platform to manage & promote tour dates to a fanbase of 3 million active monthly users.
Bandsintown also powers tour information on partner applications including BandPage, BandRx, eMusic, Fanbridge, OneSheet, ReverbNation, Shazam, Soundhound, and Tracks.by.
Many of the artists using Bandsintown are indie, but Coldplay, Shakira, Tiesto, Kenny Chesney, Skrillex and other major artists use the platform, as well.
According to Jennifer Bird, Head of New Media at Red Light Management, “Many of our bands use the bands in town app because it takes the pain and hassle out of listing tour dates. But even more important, we’re seeing our bands’ fans using Bandsintown’s social media features to promote shows to their friends, and that’s turning more people out to the shows.”
