GOTHENBURG, Sweden (CelebrityAccess) — Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl injured his leg in a fall from stage during a concert at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Friday, but, like a trooper, Grohl returned to finish the concert with a fresh cast.
According to media reports, the Foo Fighters were only into the second song of their set when Grohl fell or jumped off stage. Fan photos posted to Instagram showed the Foo Fighters frontman being tended to on stage.
While being tended to, Grohl used the opportunity to apologize to the crowd.
"I think I just broke my leg, I think I really just broke my leg," Grohl told the crowd. "So look, you have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters, we gotta come back and finish the show, but right now, I'm going to go to the hospital and fix my leg, but then I'm going to come back and we're going to play for you again."
True to his word, Grohl did make a return to the stage, performing the rest of the show from a chair with his leg wrapped in bandages or a cast. – Staff Writers
