Dave Most Passes

ASCOT, UK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Music Week is reporting that Dave Most, brother of RAK Records founder Mickie Most and head of RAK's music publishing business during its heyday, has died of a suspected heart attack.

RAK Publishing was founded in 1969 along with the label and although the label was acquired by EMI in 1986, is still run as an independant operation. RAK Publishing now represents over a hundred writers including the Ivor Novello Winner Errol Brown and Gold Badge recipients Steve Harley and Suzi Quatro.

Most worked with numerous artists over the course of his career, including artists such as the Bee Gees, Hot Chocolate and Suzi Quatro.

Industry veteran and EMI alum Gary Farrow met Most during his EMI days, telling Music Week "I remember him as probably the best promotions man there ever was." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
