DETROIT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — More than 26,000 Detroit residents flocked to the new downtown staffing center to apply for one of the 1,000 jobs available at the soon-to-be-opened MGM Grand Detroit Casino in the Motor City. The jobs cover a wide range of opportunities, including dealers/croupiers, hotel and food/beverage operations, accounting and administration as well.
The new MGM under construction will be a 17 story, 400 room hotel with 100,000 feet of space for gaming, entertainment and retail spaces.
The enthusiasm for the MGM jobs may be related to Michigan's 6.9 percent unemployment rate and although this is the lowest its been for 9 months, the state continues to trend grimly downwards. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
