CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Dave Matthews Band has announced that their second Caravan Festival date will be in Chicago from July 8-10.
The festival will be headlined by, unsurprisingly, the DMB, who will perform full sets on all three nights.
Other artists on the lineup include David Gray, Ray LaMontagne, O.A.R., Kid Cudi, The Flaming Lips (performing "Dark Side of the Moon"), Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Amos Lee, Emmylou Harris, Ben Folds, G. Love & Special Sauce, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Gomez, Drive-By Truckers, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Daniel Lanois' Black Dub, the Jayhawks, Soja, Soulive, The Wailers, Blind Pilot, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, TR3, Vieux Farka Toure, Alberta Cross, Mariachi El Bronx, Bobby Long, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Jeff Coffin's Mu'tet, and Gary Clark Jr.
The festival will take place in Lakeside, at a site that had been a planned residential development that's on hiatus due to the real estate contraction.
DMB had previously announced the first 'Caravan' event as planned for Atlantic City, N.J. on June 24-26 Two additional, yet-to-be-announced fest dates are in the offing for August and September.
At present, only 3-day passes are being offered to the festival. Tix are available now for DMB fan clubbers and will go onsale for the hoi polloi on April 15th. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
