DOVER, DE (AP) – The committee looking at the pros and cons of a the long-debated Dover civic center project is scheduled to deliver its recommendations to the City Council on Monday.
The eight-member committee was appointed in May by Dover City Council President Beverly Williams.
Chairman Philip McGinnis says the panel is making recommendations but is not telling the council whether or not to build the civic center.
The Delaware Civic Center Corp. last year asked the city and Kent County Levy Court to contribute at least $5 million each to help pay for construction. The corporation already has arranged state and private donations.
