OSNABRUCK, Germany (VIP NEWS) — At the annual meeting of the German Association of Music Publishers (Deutscher Musikverleger-Verband, or DMV) in Osnabrück on Wednesday, music publisher and professor Dr. Rolf Budde of Berlin, owner of independent publishing company Budde Musikverlage, was elected the new president of the association.
His vice-president will be Winfried Jacobs, managing director of Boosey & Hawkes, Bote & Bock, also based in Berlin.
The past DMV president, Ms. Dagmar Sikorski, owner of Sikorski Musikverlage in Hamburg, and vice-president Karl-Heinz Klempnow, managing director of Fünf Sterne Musikverlag, did not stand again as candidates for the election.
