Elaine Stritch Heads to Broadway

The very popular Elaine Stritch show "Elaine Stritch at Liberty" now playing off-Broadway at the Joseph Papp Public Theater in New York is headed for Broadway. When the one-woman show closes on December 30, it will be remounted at the Neil Simon Theater starting February 6 for 80 performancs only. Not only will more people able to see the hit show, but by making the move, the show and its star will be eligible for Tony Award nominations. However, due to the intense vocal constraints of this close to three hour show, Stritch will only perform six shows a week instead of the normal eight.
