DETROIT, MI (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Pop superstar Fergie will be the first act to grace the stage at the newly renamed and refurbished Fillmore Detroit, formerly known as the State Theatre.
Making a special stop on her Verizon VIP Tour, Fergie’s fans will be treated to fresh apples, along with newly repainted deep red walls, seven new sparkling chandeliers, and vintage posters, pictures, and memorabilia from legendary live music performances adorning the walls.
“So far we have had two successful Fillmore openings and music fans love it,” Bruce Eskowitz, Live Nation’s CEO of North American Music, said in a statement. “By adding State Theatre to our list of Fillmore venues, we hope to improve upon an already great concert experience for Detroit concert goers and take another step in the creation of an internationally recognizable live music brand.”
The expansion of the Fillmore venue brand also includes the recent additions of The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza, which opened April 11th, and The Fillmore Philadelphia at TLA, which opened April 27th. These two new Fillmores join the established Fillmore Auditorium in Denver and the original Fillmore San Francisco, bringing the total of Fillmore branded music venues in the United States to five, complementing the company’s 11 House of Blues clubs. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
