VANCOUVER (CelebrityAccess) — Brad Kent, a guitarist for bands such as D.O.A. and the Subhumans, died on February 3rd from complications of pneumonia.
Kent's death was confirmed by his friends via social media. Kent had previously been reported to be in the hospital in critical care.
"Very sad news The great Brad Kent has left us Genius with Les Paul on his hip ripping a hot solo. He taught me to how to rock Miss u forever," D.O.A.'s Joe Keithley wrote on Facebook.
A fixture in the early Vancouver punk scene, Kent performed with bands such as Pointed Sticks, The Skulls, Victorian Pork, Death Sentence, Ground Zero, Sick Ones and The Stiffs.
Kent then made his way to San Francisco, performing with The Avengers but eventually returned to British Columbia, where he lived with his partner and bandmate Mary Armstrong, performing in their latest project Monster Baby. – Staff Writers
