LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Guitarist Mark St. John, a replacement guitarist for the band Kiss in the 1980s, has died at the age of 51.
St. John played with the band during their make-up-free days in 1984, replacing Vinnie Vincent, who took the role from Ace Frehley, and appeared on the band’s album “Animalize.”
St. John’s flashy playing reflected the era’s hair-metal influence, and helped solidify the band as one of the world’s premiere arena rock acts.
St. John last released a solo instrumental album, titled “Magic Bullet Theory,” in 2001.
He died Thursday, April 5th of an apparent brain hemorrhage. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
