Gary Allan debuts at #1 on the Billboard Country Album Chart this week, marking the best selling first week in the history of his career. Tough All Over (MCA Nashville) sold 99,662 units its first week in stores. With first day sales exceeding the 30,000 mark, retailers were forced to begin re-ordering the album on the second day it was available to consumers.
Allan, his manager and band learned of the news while on tour in Australia. When told of the first week sales figures and the glowing reviews, Allan said, "I poured my soul into Tough All Over. I have always spoken through my music, and I am very grateful that what I have to say continues to connect with the fans."
