George Wein, Lorraine Gordon To Be Honored At 5th Annual Fans Decision Jazz Awards

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — George Wein, founder of the iconic Newport Jazz and Newport Folk festivals, and Lorraine Gordon, co-founder and owner of the Village Vanguard will be honored at this year's 5th annual Fans Decision Jazz Awards.

The 5th annual "Fans Decision Jazz Awards" night will be hosted by singer, musician, and performer, Antoinette Montague, with performances from jazz greats as well as up-and-coming artists, with backing from house band the Danny Mixon trio.

While the awards gala is typically held at the Metropolitan Room, they are in the process of moving to larger digs. Instead, the awards show will take place this year at The Triad, located at 158 West 72nd Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, New York City.

The Fan Decision Jazz Awards are sponsored by Hot House, the oldest operating jazz magazine in New York and the only periodical in the metro area devoted solely to previews of upcoming jazz events.
