Goldenvoice, Front Gate Named As Defendants In Coachella Ticketing Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Goldenvoice has been hit with a lawsuit over their layaway ticketing policies for Coachella festival.

The lawsuit, brought by Fernald Law Group on behalf of Abigail Drake, calls into question Coachella's policy of keeping not only tickets but all previously paid money if a would-be ticket purchaser is more than 10 days late on a payment.

The suit claims that after Drake had made four payments on time, she was forced to cancel and replace her credit card due to unrelated fraudulent charges and missed a scheduled payment for her Coachella ticket. As a consequence, she was forced to forfeit not only the tickets, but the $617.90 in payments that had already made on the tickets. The lawsuit further alleges that Coachella then sold the ticket to a new customer for the full value.

The list of defendants named in the lawsuit include Goldenvoice, Coachella Music Festival, and Front Gate Tickets Solutions.

The lawsuit also alleges that numerous other ticket holders have experienced similar difficulties and the plaintiffs are seeking class status for the suit.
