(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Merle Haggard has canceled a short string of nine concerts in Texas, Arkansas and New Mexico due to respiratory problems and will not tour any more this year. He performed about 80 concerts this year already.
Haggard has been working on a new album for Capitol Records. He recorded mostly recently for Hag, his own label which was distributed by Compendia. His re-signing with Capitol is like a homecoming since most of his biggest hits early in his career were on Capitol. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
