AUCKLAND, NZ (CelebrityAccess) — The Hard Rock Cafe is heading for New Zealand as the chain revealed that it is planning to open an outlet in Auckland.
"Our franchisee has secured premises in the Auckland CBD and signed a lease in November 2013," A spokesman for the chain told the New Zealand Herald.
The planned location for the venue is in upscale mixed use waterfront area in Auckland known as Viaduct Harbour on the premises previously occupied by the Kermadec restaurant.
This won't be Hard Rock's first foray into New Zealand. Another outlet for the chain opened in Queensland in 2001 but closed after 4 years. Worldwide, the Hard Rock operates more than 170 locations in 50 countries around the world. – Staff Writers
