Hinder Cancels Tour Opener After Bus Crash


COOKEVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Rock band Hinder has cancelled a handful of dates after their tour bus was involved in a motor vehicle accident on on Interstate 40 in Cookeville, Tenn. on Wednesday.

According to local ABC affiliate WKRN, police investigators believe the accident occurerd when a tractor-trailer slowed to a near stop following a colision with an SUV, causing the tour bus to rear-end the truck.

The bus was carrying ten people when it crashed. The driver needed to be extricated from the wreck by emergency responders and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he underwent surgery Wednesday night.

Two other passengers, band member Mike Rodden and the band's lighting tech were taken to to Cookeville Regional Hospital with broken ribs.

The band was on the way to Charlotte, North Carolina for the opening date of their at Amos’ Southend. They cancelled that date, as well as their Nov. 20th show at Sound Stage in Baltimore. –

Cuzco, a service dog belonging o the bus's driver, was initially reported to be missing after the crash, but has since been safely found.- Staff Writers
