HoB Looks To Sell Concert Division

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — House of Blues Concerts may be up for sale by parent company House of Blues Entertainment.

UBS, a global financial services company, has been brought in to evaluate several offers already on the table to buy the company’s concert division. CEO Greg Trojan would not comment on the offers, saying only that some of the offers were from promoters and others were not.

Currently House of Blues Concerts is the second biggest concert promoter in the U.S. behind Clear Channel Entertainment. The company owns ten venues and has exclusive booking for ten more. Trojan noted that even if HoB sells their concert division, they will continue to book smaller venues.

"There are a lot more clubs to be built than amphitheaters," Trojan told Variety.com. "We still like running the venues, but we owe it to our shareholders to listen to offers." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
