HoB Takes On PabstCity, Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WI (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — HoB will be taking on America’s Beer Capital. House of Blues Entertainment Inc. has signed a lease to become the anchor tenant at PabstCity, a 1.1 million-square-foot entertainment, commercial and residential development planned for downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

HoB announced that it will include in its new venue their prestigious private membership Foundation Room, expanding their original plan of 32,000 square feet to 47,000 square feet, the developers told The Business Journal of Milwaukee.

The House of Blues will open its Milwaukee venue on Juneau Avenue, the main street access of Pabst City.

“The House of Blues agreement is a solid step toward bringing PabstCity to Milwaukee,” Jerry Frank, president of Wispark LLC, a partner in the development, was quoted in the Journal. “The commitment to the City of Milwaukee and the Pabst Project that House of Blues is demonstrating through this deal is a huge vote of confidence in the project. Their desire to enhance the venue with the Foundation Room further demonstrates House of Blues’ belief in the marketplace.”

Pabst City is being developed by Juneau Avenue Partners, which has also announced that it had letters of intent from GamesWorks and Jenco Cinemas L.P. for the PabstCity project, which is being developed on the site of the former Pabst Brewery Co.

The House of Blues deal will be instrumental in helping Juneau Avenue to secure the $50 million in equity investment and $125 million in private debt needed for the project. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
