LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Like a scene from the end of Coppola's epic "The Godfather," ICM has purged its rank and file of Ed Limato loyalists.
According to a report in Variety, motion picture agent DJ Talbot and talent agents Matt Eskander and Richard Konigsberg were both released from the agency on Monday. All three had previously served as Limato's assistants and he was well known for cultivating and supporting the careers of up and coming young agents.
Not everyone went however. Variety reported that another of his former assistants Justin Deanda has actually been promoted to the rank of agent from his previous position of motion picture department coordinator. His new portfolio will include repping acts that straddle the music and movie world such as Beyonce, Ne-Yo and Chris Brown.
Limato's current assistants are still on the books as well and even Limato himself has been coming into the Century City office every day to continue supporting his clients while the sharks iron out the contractual resolution. A hearing pursuant is expected to happen on August 1st, Variety reported. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
