(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In Ticketing is looking to make a difference in the music industry with their innovative "Tree Per Ticket" program. For each ticket sold by participating artists’ online fan clubs, In Ticketing will plant a tree.
“Planting trees is a great way to counterbalance potential air pollution from the motor vehicles used by fans and artists’ to travel to and from their events,” said Barbara Klieforth, a biologist at the EPA, in a statement.
In addition to tree planting, the company is pushing environmentally-friendly initiatives like printing tickets with vegetable based inks and paper stock from recycled and renewable resources.
“Forming a bond between like-minded companies, artists and their fans is beneficial not only in helping the environment, but also in building long-term artist to fan relationships,” In Ticketing CEO Steve Weisz said in the statement. “The more ticketing companies that adopt socially responsible actions, the better off events will be everywhere.”
Any artist, event, or venue wishing to have tickets printed using renewable resources, or who wish to implement a "Tree Per Ticket" program should contact In Ticketing at 415-256-8494 for details. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
