(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Iowa State Fair will be able to boast even more country music this August, with the addition of a new $1.3 million amphitheater on the property.
The new stage, with an open-air roof, yet to be named, was funded through the Blue Ribbon Foundation and will boast festival seating to accommodate up to 3,500 fans. It is currently under construction, and should be completed just in time for the fair.
Concerts and events there will be free with admission to the fair. The stage will be dedicated to country acts.
Already slated for the new stage is Shooter Jennings on August 11-12. More acts are expected to be announced in the near future, while rumors point to performances by Trace Adkins and Chris Cagle during the state fair. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
