NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jeff Aldrich has been named Senior Vice President, A&R, RCA Music Group. Jeff will report directly to Barry Weiss, Chairman and CEO RCA/JIVE Label Group and will be based in the company’s New York headquarters.

Prior to joining RCA Music Group, Aldrich served as Senior Vice President, A&R at Warner Bros. Records for the past eight years where he worked with such accomplished, multi-platinum artists as Seal, Disturbed and Faith Hill. In addition, he discovered and nurtured acts including The Veronicas. As part of his portfolio there, Jeff managed the A&R of film soundtracks for “The Departed,” “Transformers,” and “The Devil Wears Prada,” among other titles. Before Warner Bros, he held the position of Senior VP, A&R for Giant Records for ten years where he worked with an array of artists including Disturbed, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Big Mountain and Letters to Cleo.

Previous to Giant, Jeff worked for Chrysalis Records for thirteen years where he held several positions, serving both as head of A&R and Executive Vice President during his tenure there. At Chrysalis he signed and cultivated such legendary acts as Pat Benatar, Billy Idol, The Divinyls, and Slaughter, with additional responsibility overseeing A&R for the iconic Blondie.

Aldrich commented “I am really thrilled to be joining RCA Music Group, a leader in the music industry and a company with tremendous passion for producing great music. I am excited to work with Barry Weiss who’s offered me the opportunity to launch the next chapter of my career, joining an impressive team and working with an incomparable stable of artists.”

Barry Weiss commented "Jeff's built a stellar career working with some of the most iconic and influential artists in music. The scope of his A&R background and work as a producer are impressive and he has demonstrable talent recognizing, developing and managing artists. He will undoubtedly enhance RCA's already strong roster, and we're proud to welcome him as a new member of RCA's talented A&R team." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
