LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — AEG Europe has named John Langford as Vice President and General Manager at the iconic O2 Arena, effective November 1st.
Reporting directly to AEG Europe’s SVP Facilities, Richard Krezwick, John takes over as the O2 approaches its tenth year in 2017 and will have oversight of operations, event booking and content creation at the venue, AEG said.
Langford assumes his new post in London following a three-year stint as Director of Live Entertainment at The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow, including The SSE Hydro arena.
While at SECC, Langford buffed the facility's bottom line and improved relations with the City of Glasgow AEG said.
Prior to the SECC, Langford spent seven years as Chief Operating Officer at African concert promoter BIG Concerts International and previously held a variety of senior roles in commercial radio. – Staff Writers
