LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Kanye West abruptly called off his sixth performance mid-show last Thursday night, telling the crowd his throat was too hoarse to perform.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kanye was in the midst of his song “Only One” when he stopped the song to tell the crowd he couldn't go on.
"Turn the lights up,” he told the crowd from atop his suspended performance platform. “Show’s over. I can't let y’all have a show where I can't perform. I'm sorry."
Despite his promise of refunds, the crowd seemed dismayed and looked on as Kanye's platform was maneuvered back to his exit point.
The show was the sixth in a series of sold-out gigs at the Forum. The stand was originally slated to be four nights, but West added two extra nights due to demand.
Following the show, Kanye has two weeks to rest his voice before his tour picks up the thread on Nov. 17th at the SAP Center in San Jose. – Staff Writers
