LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rapper Kanye West, recently one of the opening acts on The Rolling Stones' "A Bigger Bang" tour, has left CAA after two years and returned to the William Morris Agency. West was signed by and will be repped by WMA President Dave Wirtschafter and urban agent Cara Lewis.
William Morris will oversee and negotiate all aspects of West's recordings, production, publishing, touring and endorsements. His business ventures continue to be under the aegis of his mother Dr. Donda West as CEO and Michelynn Woodward as president/COO of his newly formed West Brands LLC.
"We've always believed that Kanye West is one of the most talented, driven, important artists to emerge in a long time," said West's manager Gee Roberson of Hip-Hop Since1978. "William Morris clearly shares that vision, and we're inspired by their creativity and energy. We look forward to working together to maximize Kanye's limitless potential as an artist, a personality and a brand." — Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
