BUCKHEAD, GA (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation will continue to operate the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Buckhead after the City of Atlanta renewed its lease for the venue with the promoter.
According to the Marietta Daily Journal, the Atlanta City Council approved a new 10-year lease with a 10-year renewal option and other clauses with Live Nation. The lease, which is retroactive to January 1st, also includes a new $3.50 surcharge per concert ticket that will underwrite Live Nation's assumption of repairs and maintenance at the venue.
“It transfers the responsibility of repairs and maintenance from the city to (Live Nation),” District 8 Councilwoman Yolanda Adrean told the MDJ.
Adrean also told the MDJ that Live Nation will now be responsible for any expenses related to reducing noise issues at the amphitheater. – Staff Writers
