SHANGHAI, China (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation Entertainment has appointed Robb Spitzer as Managing Director of Live Nation China Concerts.
In this newly created role, Spitzer will work with Live Nation operations in China and with other potential partners with an eye towards bringing more international acts to the Chinese market. Spitzer will also focus on developing tours for Chinese artists in collaboration with Live Nation's Head of Regional Artists, Hung Tik.
Live Nation has been on the ground in China since 2005, when they launched a joint venture with the Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group. This joint effort has seen numerous international artists tour in China, including The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Avril Lavigne and Jason Mraz.
Spitzer is no stranger to China and has worked in the Asian nation since joining Sony Music China in 2003. Following his stint with Sony, he went on to co-found concert promoter China West and then joined Ticketmaster's operation in China and for the past four years has served as the managing director for Radical Media's Chinese subsidiary.
