Lonestar's Richie McDonald competed in his first marathon race, the 26th Annual Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC, on October 28. He was one of 335 members of the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital team. He finished the race in four hours and 35 minutes and raised more than $2,000 for St. Jude with the support of his fans.
"It was an incredible experience, said McDonald. "The support from our fans, the other runners and U.S. Marines was great, and running by all of those historical places was really inspirational."
The race raised a total of more than half a million dollars for St. Judes.
