HOLLYWOOD, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A concert by Rapper Machine Gun Kelly was interrupted when the performer suffered severe chest pains while on stage.
According to TMZ, Kelly was celebrating his 27th birthday with a concert at the Seminole Casino in South Florida on April 22nd when he began experiencing what he described as severe chest pains in the middle of his signature hit, "Bad Things." In a video of the incident, he can be seen clutching his chest several times before telling the audience "at this point, I'm fucking dying" before walking back stage to get checked out by medics.
In an Instagram video of the impromptu backstage exam, the medics can be heard telling Kelly, and advising him to go to the hospital due to a rapid heartbeat. However, Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, shook off their advice and returned to the stage to continue his set.
After the show, Kelly explained the event to fans in a post on his social media, writing: "For those who saw the TMZ post, here is what happened last night: I took some serious damage to my chest plate/ribs this week and during our 6th song last night I collapsed backstage and thought I was having a heart attack. what they didn't report, was that i went back out and finished that show cuz we're fuckin champions and it was my 27th birthday and nothing can take me away from the stage."
Kelly attributed the chest pains to injuries sustained earlier in the day while shooting the movie "Captive State" when, according to Kelly, he was 'punched in the chest 65 times.' – Staff Writers
