Magnificent Seven Tops Weekend Box Office


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Sony Picture's remake of the classic western The Magnificent Seven took top honors at the box office over the weekend, grossing an estimated $19.2 million from 8,300 plus screens domestically and an estimated $24.8 million from international markets, according to figures compiled by comScore.

On the family-friendly side of the ledger, 'Storks' from Warner Bros. opened in 33 international markets this weekend, generating an estimated $18.3 million from approximately 14,500 screens and $40.1 million in worldwide box office this weekend.

Universal's rom-com Bridget Jones's Baby held on to the #3 spot, earning an additional $26.4M worldwide.
