LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — IMG has announced the hiring of long time advisor Mark Shapiro to serve as chief content officer at the agency.
Shapiro most recently served a stint as CEO and executive producer at dick clark productions, but is perhaps best known for running programming at sports television network ESPN.
Prior to joining dick clark productions, Shapiro served as CEO at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.
Shapiro has been advising WME's Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell as they planned to acquire IMG in late 2013, the New York Post reported. Shapiro also currently serves on Live Nation's board of directors. – Staff Writers
