(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After three years of pursuit, Aspen Live conference organizers have secured marketing guru Seth Godin as this year's keynote speaker. Business Week calls Godin the "ultimate entrepreneur for the information age."
Since Aspen Live's inception, the conference has been about change and effecting change in the industry and in particular, artist development. New this year is the creation of a new business funded by the conference, directed and owned by the attendees, and managed by college students. The business will be a web based interactive “Live Entertainment” site with a 24-7 “Live” internet radio station, fan and artist recommendation areas, and a web store. The specifics of the business will be decided at the conference, December 9-11, at the Hotel Jerome.
Among the confirmed registrants are: Coran Capshaw (Red Light Mgmt, Musictoday), Jason Flom (Atlantic Records), Jay Marciano (AEG), Chip Hooper/Jonathan Levine (Monterey), Scott Clayton (CAA), Marc Geiger/John Marx (WMA), John Meglen/Paul Gongaware (Concerts West), Jerry Mickelson (Jam Productions), among many others.
