Mitchell Promoted To GM American Royal Center/Kemper Arena


KANSAS CITY, MO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Todd Mitchell, a 10-year
employee of American Royal Center and Kemper Arena and most recently assistant general manager at Kemper, has been promoted to general manager. He replaces Larry Hovick, who has become a regional vice president. Michael Young has been named assistant general manager.

Mitchell will now be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the American
Royal Complex, including all financial obligations, operational aspects,
marketing, sponsorships and sales as well as booking and scheduling events.

"Todd has an incredible amount of experience working right here in Kansas City
and he is the perfect individual to lead our charge in providing the ultimate
entertainment experience to our guests and customers throughout the Region,"
said Global Spectrum COO John Page. "He has been an integral part of the
success of this facility for the past decade and we will continue to rely on
Todd's leadership skills and his creativity to bring new and exciting
opportunities to Kemper arena and the American Royal Complex."

Prior to joining Kemper Arena, Mitchell was marketing and PR
manager for Contemporary Productions of Prairie Village, KS. He is a graduate of the International Assembly of Auditorium Manager (IAAM)'s Public Facility Management School, as well as an active member.

Young spent the past six months as director of Event Services at Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, KS, managed by Global Spectrum. Prior to
that, he was event manager and senior event manager at Kemper Arena and the
American Royal Complex since July 2001. Additionally, he was a customer
service representative for Ticketmaster and an event manager for the Kansas City
Convention Center and Municipal Auditorium.

Young is also a graduate of IAAM's Public Assembly Facility Management School and an active member.
