MADISON, WI (CelebrityAccess) — Shirley Manson and her alt-rock compatriots in Garbage have announced a new album and a new tour with dates planned for the US, the UK and Europe.
The tour kicks off on May 14th with a pair of shows in Los Angeles, and will run through August, wrapping up with a show at the KUBANA festival in Riga, Latvia on August 14th.
Garbage is touring in support of Strange Little Birds, their sixth studio album and a follow-up to 2012's Not Your Kind Of People. The album, due on June 10th, has already been teased with its first single "Empty" which was released into the wild last month.
"To me, this record, funnily enough, has the most to do with the [band's] first record than any of the previous records," Manson said of the new album. "It's getting back to that beginner's headspace." – Staff Writers
