SOLEBURY, PA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Pennsylvania town of Solebury has won a $250,000 state grant for a project to rehab Laurel Park, with plans that include a new baseball field and a multipurpose field, as well as a new amphitheater and concession stands.
The money is from a $23 million conservation and recreation fund that is controlled by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Residents have also raised more than $30,000 in private donations to help fund the total $1.6 million effort.
The town will begin designs this year for Laurel Park, a rehab that was charted last year in a park master plan. Solebury hopes to send the project out to bid next year, with constuction spanning another 12 to 18 months. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
