(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — John “Beatz” Holohan, drummer for modern rock group Bayside, was killed early Monday morning in a single-car accident in Cheyenne, Wyoming, while the band was on its way to a concert in Salt Lake City.
Holohan, 31, was killed when the band’s van rolled on Interstate 80, about 12 miles west of Cheyenne, shortly after 3:00 a.m.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol said the interstate was wet and icy after snow flurries at the time of the accident.
Bassist Nick Ghanabarian was seriously injured. Crew members Scott D. Robinson and Daniel Marino were also hospitalized for injuries. Lead singer Anthony Ranieri and guitarist Jack O’Shea were not seriously injured and released from a Cheyenne hospital.
Holohan and Marino were ejected form the van when it rolled, according to investigators.
The east coast band was traveling on its “Never Sleep Again” tour. Concerts scheduled for Salt Lake City on the 31st and Boise, Idaho, on November 1st were cancelled. Additional postponements or cancellations will be forthcoming. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
