Springsteen Unannounced Headliner At Parkinson's Benefit

ASBURY PARK, NJ (CelebrityAccess) – New Jersey's favorite son Bruce Springsteen performed as an unannounced headliner at the annual Light of Day benefit concert at the Paramount Theatre, joining artists such as Garland Jeffreys, John Eddie, Willie Nile and Joe Grushecky, among others.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Springsteen played until nearly 2 AM, performed with Willie Nile on “One Guitar,” did an acoustic rendition of his hit "Thunder Road" and wandered amongst the crowd.

Springsteen has been an unofficial headliner at 11 of the past 15 'Light of Day' benefits. The benefit concerts support efforts to battle Parkinson's disease. – Staff Writers
