LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Aerosmith's frontman Steven Tyler has filed a lawsuit against unknown bloggers who the singer claims impersonated him on the 'net, blogging about the death of his mother and other personal aspects of Tyler's life.
The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles says that while the singer doesn't know the identity of the impersonator, he believes that they are the same people behind similar postings from 2007. The blogs, posted on Blogspot.com, had 37 entries in 2008, including 7 by someone identified only as Brady.
The lawsuit alleges that the bloggers have disclosed private details of the singer's life, including the recent death of his mother, making false statements and misappropriating his likeness. The lawsuit also seeks an injunction against the defendants to prevent them from continued impersonation, online or otherwise.
Google has responded to a request to remove the material from Blogspot.com and are no longer available for viewing. A posting says that they are currently under review for a terms of service violation. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
