WINSTON-SALEM N.C. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Two individuals have been arrested following a shooting incident which left a 13-year-old girl hospitalized with a gunshot wound to her face, WGHP News reported.
According to the report, investigators said that two an individual stepped out of a car and opened fire on a group of teenagers walking in downtown Winston-Salem after a weekly concert called "The Drop," held at Corpening Plaza let out.
The shooting stemmed from an argument at the concert. The event is held on a weekly basis by the city and focuses on hip hop & R&B music and is only open to those under the age of 21.
The girl was released by Saturday and despite calls by community businesses to end the event, the city has stated that they intend on continuing the event. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
