Thomas Miserendino Named To Helm AEG Europe

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Industry veteran Thomas Miserendino has been named to the post of President & CEO of AEG's Europe operations. Effective immediately, Miserendino will transition from his current post as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, AEG Live, a role he has had since 2002 when he joined AEG.

Based in London, Mr. Miserendino portfolio will expand to include oversight of all of AEG's operations in Europe, including nine markets and 20 music venues, as well as AEG stand-alone divisions such as AEG Europe Ticketing (AXS), AEG Global Partnerships-Europe, AEG Live Europe, AEG Europe Development and AEG Facilities, Europe.

Mr. Miserendino will be taking over the post following Jay Marciano, who moved up to Chief Operating Officer for AEG in the wake of Tim Leiweke's departure from the firm in March of this year. Marciano held the reins for AEG's European offices since his appointment in 2011.

Prior to his promotion, Mr. Miserendino served as Chief Operating Officer of AEG Live, where he oversaw the live entertainment division’s 15 regional offices, clubs and theaters, and merchandising activities.

Prior to joining AEG in 2002, Mr. Miserendino was the COO of TBA Entertainment, a marketing and communications firm. From 1981 through 1998, he was COO of Eric Chandler, Ltd., an entertainment company involved in a variety of activity from concert promotion to Olympic merchandising. – Staff Writers
