Tom Petty Announces Dates For 40th Anniversary Tour


LOS ANGELES, (CelebrityAccess) – Rock legends Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers announced that they would be hitting the road for the first dates of their upcoming 40th Anniversary Tour.

Focused primarily on the U.S., the tour launches on April 20th at Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City, and winds through the spring and early summer before wrapping up with a pair of shows at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY on July 26th & 27th.

Former Eagle Joe Walsh has been tapped to support many of the dates, and Chris Stapleton will support dates at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and for two nights at the Marcus Amphitheater at Milwaukee’s Summerfest.

Lined up to coincide with the tour, the band is releasing a pair of companion vinyl box sets featuring their entire studio album repertoire. The limited-edition boxed sets will are already available via UMe and Reprise/Warner Bros and include several currently out of print on vinyl releases that have been remastered, the label said. – Staff Writers
