NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The U2 boys will soon be 3-D film stars, Reuters is reporting. The film, yet untitled, is slated for release next summer or fall. It will feature footage drawn from the band's jaunt through South America in February and March while on the Vertigo tour.
Directed by Mark Pellington, the film will likely utilize the Real D technology put into place in some theaters for screenings of "Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas" which has been recently re-released as a 3D film.
The film has been called the "the first-ever 3-D multi-camera live shoot" and is currently in post production. Negotiations are underway for a distribution deal. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers.
