LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Paradigm Talent has apparently decided to pass on signing controversial defense attorney Jose Baez, less than 12 hours after news broke that they would be repping him.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baez had been signed by Paradigm for representation in all areas, including broadcasting, books, film and TV movie rights just days after a jury had failed to convict his client Casey Anthony of killing her child.
While Paradigm did not reveal the reason that they passed on repping Baez, THR reported that an internal email was circulated around the agency which stated, "We have informed Jose Baez tonight that we will not be representing him."
The move to pass on Baez is perhaps not surprising as news of the signing appeared to spark a starkly negative reaction with some commentators on Deadline Hollywood's initial revelation of the signing vowing to organize boycotts against the agency and their clients.
