Weiland Ousted From Velvet Revolver

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Velvet Revolver front-man Scott Weiland is reportedly headed back to his original band, Stone Temple Pilots after his former VR bandmates split with him, citing "increasingly erratic" behavior.

In a terse post on the band's website, a statement about the split read "This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either," said Slash. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."

Weiland has a history of drug problems and the band's tour and studio schedule has been plagued by Weiland's DUI related legal problems and a visit to rehab.

Weiland isn't going to be wanting for something to do however as STP already has some dates tentatively scheduled, and is expected to announce summer tour plans soon, starting with a gig at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio in late may.

This assumes of course, that Weiland is at liberty – he's currently free on a $40,000 bond and due in court for pretrial hearings later this week in relation to DUI charges stemming from a traffic incident last November. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
