Wolf & Brown Exit MTV

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After a 15 month stint President and COO Michael Wolf has announced his exit from MTV Networks, effective February. Wolf had been brought on board by MTVN chairman Judy McGrath to help develop and enhance MTVN's digital revenue streams. The gambit seemed to be paying off too. Wolf, a veteran media strategist had been considered by many observers to have been successful, increasing digital ad revenue by 74% in the third quarter of 2006.

Before accepting the position, Wolf had served as a consultant for MTVN. He also took a turn in 2001 as Director & Media Strategist at McKinsey & Company and before that, he was a senior partner with Booz Allen & Hamilton, heading up their media and entertainment group. In addition, he has authored a book on the entertainment industry "The Entertainment Economy: How Media Forces Are Transforming Our Live" and is a contributor to the Wall Street Journal.

Wolf isn't the only exit at MTVN. Nicole Browning, president of affiliate sales and marketing is taking her leave as well. Nicole has been with MTVN for 20 years. Her portfolio has included distribution for all the MTV networks, in addition to BET Networks division. MTVN had said that it will begin the search for replacements immediately. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
